Special Requests

Special requests for Mectizan are considered for physicians who treat relatively small numbers of individuals diagnosed with onchocerciasis.

This mechanism provides Mectizan to people in areas where onchocerciasis is relatively rare and less severe and thus mass treatment is not indicated and/or for mass treatment programs that cannot reach all affected populations.
